Hello! I’m Lisa, and by some miracle my son Jack returned from culinary school and told me he wanted to help make my sandwich shop dream a reality. After I cried with joy (and then, after he told me to pull it together,) we turned our mutual passion for fresh Italian food into a real business. And truth be told, it’s been pretty effortless…What I mean is that although we are thoroughly exhausted every minute of every day baking and cooking and building our brand, we are finding so much joy making a ton of people happy with our sandwiches and that makes all of this feel easy.
The true gift in all is this is the magic of our beautiful New Orleans community and friends we have made since moving here from NYC during Covid in 2020.
Over countless dinners and brunch parties at our home, delighting friends and neighbors with our homemade foods, we were encouraged to open LUNCH.
Our deep Italian heritage, where everything is made fresh and with so much love, shapes every aspect of LUNCH Sandwich Shop. Jack, a chef and and graduate of the prestigious École Ducasse culinary school in Paris, brings his modern culinary skills and innovative techniques to our shop. Together with my baking skills, we work hard every day to create something truly special to share with you all.
We are dedicated to be using only the finest imported Italian meats and cheeses and crafting fresh pestos, aiolis, and dressings to compliment every sandwich. Some would say though that the true hero of our sandwiches is our Italian schiacciata sandwich bread that we bake fresh daily.
